Also, I really like that piece by Johann Hari. That's *exactly* what the GOP has been doing here in the US (twistedchick and I have both posted links an stats on that one in the past). If you're counting increasing redistribution of wealth meaning "inequality of property ownership", they're getting away with it with remarkable success so far. If you're counting creation of innovative new technologies, new wealth, new types of concrete investment, or just creation of jobs, not so much.
