Where Is The Relief Money for Haiti?

The story of the recovery that hasn’t happened in Haiti is at last partially a tale of the money the developed world said it would give, but didn’t. In the immediate aftermath of last year’s earthquake there was a worldwide outpouring of support.

This is the graphic shown on the page, I'm going to transcribe it here for accessibility purposes:

Haiti
January 12, 2010:
1.5 million homeless
Killed more than 230000

January 12, 2011:
1 million still homeless
2100 died of cholera
And over 93000 infected

Where is the Relief Money?

$12 billion total pledged through organizations, the UN, private donors and individual countries.

$5.3 billion pledged 2010-2011 at UN conference = $1.3 billion disbursed.

U.S. disbursed $120 million of $1.2 billion pledged.
European community disbursed $97.2 million of $294 million pledged.
Canada disbursed $55.3 million of $375 million pledged.

$1.4 billion from private American donors = 38% spent.

$479 million raised by the American Red Cross = $200 million spent.

These sums were taken from this article: Haiti: Where's the Money?, I guess.
