I'm not sure that we actually have a full twenty years before we've killed most of our corals. They're already having bleaching and pollution and overfishing issues now.
We knew about this whole climate instability risk way back in Reagan's term of office--really, there are articles that go back further--and the rich and powerful decided to drag out the oil economy as long as they could.
Apparently, like the Cyclops, they don't mind eating their own young.
