...according to a different source, though, constitutionally, it's supposed to go to the Speaker of the Parliament not to the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces...

So Mubarak resigned and gave power to Supreme Council of the Armed Forces.

The Guardian Live Blog says whats gonna happen next

7.54pm GMT: Al Arabiya television is reporting that the Egyptian military will announce the dismissal of the cabinet, the suspension of the upper and lower houses of parliament, and that the head of the constitutional court will form an interim administration with the military council. Al Arabiya is also reporting that Amr Moussa will step down as secretary general of the Arab League within the next few weeks – and he is talked of as a leading contender in the up-coming presidential elections.

What exactly is the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces? Al Jazeera to the rescue: Egypt's military leadership: Brief profiles of members of the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces as it assumes power from Hosni Mubarak.

The fact that Suleiman is on that Council worries me greatly, but we will see. Hopefully it turns out ok for the Egyptian people.

Switzerland freezes Mubarak's accounts

Al Jazeera Live blogs tell us how it happened

Inmportant to note that protests weren't only in Cairo.

1:30pm Thousands of pro-democracy protesters in Mahala, Tanta, Alexandria, Ismailia, and Suez took to the streets chanting "Mubarak must go".
